ABSTRACT
Resonant converter topologies are quite popular from few decades for applications that require high power transfer such as pulsed power supplies and particle accelerators. This topology has become a very common in transformer used in solid-state applications, wherein fault tolerance is one of the prominent features, and it is achieved from redundancy. The proposed topology aims at reduced redundancy without affecting efficiency deterioration. In the present work, it is anticipated to explore full bridge series/parallel resonant topologies used for high voltage and power transfer applications. It is also anticipated to progress the fault tolerance of existing configuration by reconfiguring network during fault, which may compromise the performance of the same but will prevent from halting. The proposed work, Fault Tolerant Series LC Resonant Converter Topology for Constant Power Applications is implemented in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.
