WIRELESS power transfer (WPT) technologies are being actively researched as a solution to charge an electric vehicle (EV) battery bank because of its advantages of convenience, reliability, and positive environmental impact due to cables and cords elimination  WPT allows the use of on-line inductive power transfer (OLPT), where charging facilities are embedded underground and a pickup coil at the bottom of the EV receives the power wirelessly to charge its batteries, while the car is in motion  The front end stage performs the AC/DC conversion and power factor correction (PFC), and the cascaded stage regulates the system output voltage by using a DC/DC converter with a high-frequency transformer. The front end stage can also optimize the system efficiency and achieve a relatively high power density.
